Aprons Are Back!

My sister and I did a craft fair in December and I made us these cute aprons to match. They were really easy to make. Took maybe an hour. The little girls on the fabric remind me of my sister and I as children. Mine is hanging in my kitchen, which is also red.

Patchwork Pottery Inspired

I was inspired to create this from http://www.patchworkpottery.com/. She is so talented and has an eye for detail. Her tea cup pouch and pot holder patterns are suppose to be coming out in February 2008, I can't wait!!!! I wish her the best of luck with her patterns.

Weekender Travel Bag

I recently made this bag as a test run for a swap. I love it and I am keeping this one for myself. I don't usually make bags with zippers because I don't like to use bias tape. I made this one without bias tape and there are no exposed seams.

Writlets, Key Fobs and Hair Doodles

I love making these your people!! They make great gifts and they are simple to make. I actually kept this set for myself but I also gave all the women in my family these for Christmas and they love them!! The Hair Doodle is a covered button attached to a hair band. The Key Fob is fabric attached to a D ring. Finally the Wristlet, Hair Doodle and Key Fob were made from the same 2 fat quarters!!! Great Buy!

Amy Karol's Bend The Rules Sewing BIB!!!!

I love this bib!! I followed the instructions of Amy Karol in her book Bend the Rules Sewing. She has a refreshing way about teaching sewing in the book and with all of the colorful pictures it is sure to brighten your day! I used my new machine to stitch Angel. I feel sew spoiled!!

Cell Phone Pouch

This is a cell phone pouch I made for my mother in law. I embroidered the front with a dolphin to celebrate her love of the beach. It has a snap to fasten on a belt loop or purse. There is also a flap to protect the phone and make sure that it does not fall out. I am in the process of making my first tutorial, the cell phone pouch. So stay in touch!!

Embroidered Towels

Everything doesn't have to be from scratch. I found these plain kitchen towels with a strip of fabric on them at Target (2 for $2.50). I took them home and embroidered a simple design of the front. Now they look like I bought them from a fancy boutique. I didn't have to spend much time or money!!!
