Okay, I have two questions!

1) Where the heck are you all buying this pattern? I can't figure it out - I think I've looked everywhere, but I'm not seeing it listed at all.

2) Leah, do you ever make bags and then sell them? The reason I ask is that my mother is going on a cruise in March and this bag would be perfect for her off-boat excursions. Unfortunately, even if I figure out WHERE to buy the pattern, I'm a new seamstress and not sure I could pull it off in time for Mom to leave!

Any help?

Hi Meredith, It's at Etsy.com Choose "sellers" using the pull down menu to the right of the orange "Etsy" logo, and then type in "SewSpoiled" with no spaces. It will bring up the store.

Wow! I am so glad that everyone is just as excited about this tote as I am!!
In all of the excitement, I forgot to post where the Sew Spoiled Cabrio Tote ePattern can be found. You can find it at www.etsy.com/shop/Sewspoiled.

Also, I found a great place to buy fold over elastic (FOE) online at www.sewzannesfabrics.com. The FOE is for the elastic interior pockets.
Meredith, I think your Mom would a tote you made her. You could do a much better job than me, since you know her so well. If you need any extra help you can always email me and I can help you through any step.

Thanks everyone for the great comments!

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Leah. I'm still not so sure I can get it done fast enough for her trip given my toddler's sense of curiosity when the machine comes out - but I'm certainly tempted!

Sweet Coin Purse Tutorial for Teacher Gifts

This time of year is so special to me because I get to show my gratitude for all of the hard work that goes into teaching my daughters. I love to make handmade gifts and this year is no exception. Since money does not grow on trees around here, I looked at my stash (I keep my scraps in hat boxes ) and tried to see what I had a lot of; small zippers, trims, Peltex strips ( from making iPad cases ), fabric scraps and some hardware for key fobs. So I set to work.  Materials: Plastic multipurpose 5" Zipper  Fabric Scraps Lightweight interfacing 808 Pellon Trims (We clipped  key fobs  with 1.5" swivel hooks onto our coin purses . There are tons of tutorials on making key fobs .) Step 1: Print out the Coin Purse Template  PDF.  Cut 2 main fabric, cut 2 lining and 2 interfacing using the template.  Optional: Cut a 2"X2" square of your choice main fabric or lining. This strip of fabric is used to clip a key fob to your coin purse later. We used a 1.5
