I decided to make my daughters teachers Lanyards for Easter! I enjoyed making them so much I wanted to show you how simple they are to make! When I saw these adorable baby bunnies from mmmcraft and I knew I had to make two for my daughters. They are so soft and lovable! I planned to make them and give them to the girls on Easter but I just couldn't wait that long. The patchwork blanket is part of the pattern too and the pattern is 20% off through April 3, 2010!   That's right, those are cottontails!  If you go to mmmcraft Flickr Group you can see what others have made to help you pick out your colors and what you like/dislike. After making many Aprons in an Hour from Fabritopia's  free tutorial and her Edith Twirl Skirt , I wondered if the two could be combined to make an Edith Apron! It can be done and here is the end result. This is also my March Sew Spoiled Giveaway Gift this month! Just incase you have not noticed, I am trying to giveaway one Sew Spoiled gift each month! I found the Edith Twirl Skirt at Fabritopia .  It doesn't hurt to mention that she has a Fabric Sale going on right now in her shop too! I wanted to make my daughters something special for Easter this year! When I saw how beautiful these Twirly Skirts were I had to give the pattern a try! These skirts are not like the Lazy Day Skirt Tutorial by Oliver and S .  No, I made two Edith Skirts at the same time and it took me all weekend cutting, ironing and sewing all of the pieces together. The pattern also uses a lot of fabric for just one skirt but that is how you get the twirly skirt! If you are looking for a quick skirt, the Edith Skirt is not a quick pattern. However,  it was wonderful making everything from the binding to gathering the ruffle and skirts!  Here is another technique for gathering! This weekend as I was blogging a little, and I stumble onto Fishstick and Fries blog ! With a name like that I had to find out more! Bonnie is a mother to 6 and loves to sew! She recently made a  Gorgeous  Ladybug Diaper Bag and she reviewed the pattern on her blog !  This is the back of her new Ladybug Diaper Bag ! My Grandmother is turning 70! We are throwing her an incredible Birthday Party at my house and I am looking for inspiration! I thought I would share what I have found! With Disney's New Alice In Wonderland Movie by Tim Burton in the movie theaters I was inspired to try this as a party theme. T hese are all great ideas for an Alice In Wonderland Parties and even if I don't use all of them I thought you might like to see these fantastic party ideas!   This first table scape is from Amy Atlas  I love the polka dot fabric draped over the white table cloth and the stacked tea cups with bright flowers everywhere. This table scape comes from No Fuss Fabulous blog ! I love how simple this looks. The cake is sitting on top of a extra large "tea cup" with boa around the bottom!  Ribbon and flowers make this table come to life! Somehow I recently stumbled upon this Lunch box tutorial on Belly Buttons Boutique . She took Joann's Cute-Enough-To-Eat Lunch box and took pictures of each step. What a great idea! The fabric I used was from Patty Young's Andalucia and Mezzanine collections are fun and perfect for spring! This project was easy and I made it in the amount of time that it takes a 3 year to nap. :)

I am making myself a new Spring Wardrode! So far, so good! I have started with a few tops. Shirts and tops can be very difficult to make, especially when you add elastic, buttons, pleats, gathers and/or zippers. The Sew Liberated Schoolhouse Tunic is great because it only calls for fabric. (ok, she does add elastic to the sleeves but I like mine 3/4 without.)   The fabric in this photo is Anna Maria Horner's Fortune in Chocolate from her Good Folk's line. I found it at Sew Love Fabrics Etsy Shop . I love buying from her because she wraps your fabric in such a neat package with 5" charm swatches and when it arrives it looks like a birthday gift! (Smiles!) This is a work in progress. I know it looks like a completed shirt, you are right. I mean the pattern itself is a work in progress. I found beautiful, purple shirt at Khol's for $9.00 but the shirt came with an ugly, plastic belt.  I took off the belt and looked through my fabric stash. I found a fat quarter in the most perfect purple to match but I only had a fat quarter!  What should I do??? This is how I made a gorgeous belt tie with only a 18"X22" piece of fabric.   Step 1: Cut 4- Strips 4.5" wide X 22" long. I know you should wash your fabrics before sewing but honestly, I just started cutting. Sew them together to make one long strip. Step 2: Iron the seams open and then iron the strip right side together.  Step 3: Start at a 45 degree angle on one side of the belt. Sew approximately 2" toward the longer side of the belt. Then place your needle down into the fabric, lift the presser foot and turn the fabric. Now you are ready to sew to the center of the belt.  Leave a 4" hole in the center (S o you can flip it right side out at the end.)  and sew the rest of the belt the
