Wristlet Shoulder/Wrist Strap Tutorial

Spring is around the corner, that means dress up and gifts! Prom, weddings and graduation gifts, the Sew Spoiled Wristlet can be made for all of these occasions and more!  Today, I am going to share how to make a strap that is as versatile, as the wristlet is as a gift. This shoulder/wrist strap can be applied to any of your favorite small zipper pouches and wristlets.
I adore wristlets but after a while, I get tried of keeping track of it around my wrist.
Over the shoulder, I can wear it and not think about where it is. Sew Spoiled Wristlets would make adorable bridesmaids gifts. Or make these for a group of girls who are going to prom together in a group all in different colors to match their dresses.
Shoulder Strap
or Wristlet Strap
For this wristlet you will need to purchase the Sew Spoiled Wristlet Pattern.
Materials: Loop Fabric 2"X2", Strap Fabric 18"X 2" and 1- 1.5" Swivel Hook.
Step 1: Cut the loop and strap pieces out. Fold and iron one of the 2" short end of the strap over .25".
Step 2: Fold and iron the strap and loop in half.
Step 3: Fold and iron the two raw edges toward the center crease line.
Step 4: Fold and iron the strap in half again.
Step 5: Stitch the edge of the loop.
Step 6: Stitch the strap along both sides.
Step 7: Using the finished edge side of the strap, thread the strap through the swivel hook and sew the finished edge down onto itself.
Go through the sewing directions for making the wristlet.
Stop on Step 12 and do this instead.
Step 8: Attach the strap to the side that the zipper closes on and attach the loop to the opposite side. Before going on to Step 13 in the pattern, OPEN THE ZIPPER!
Finish the wristlet like you would using the rest of the pattern instructions!
Now you can swing your bag on your wrist (by attaching the swivel hook to your zipper) or....
over your shoulder! (By attaching the swivel hook to the loop.)
Have fun making these wonderful wristlets for your family and friends.

Yes, it would fit the iPhone 6. There are two sizes and this wristlet is the larger wristlet size. Thank you for your comment. :)
