I love to crochet but I am one of "those people" who won't try something new until I have a project that I want to make so badly that it forces me to learn a new technique. That is one of the many reasons why I love this book, Simple Crocheting. It has so many projects I want to try! Simple Crocheting is a beautiful book written by Erika Knight.
Erika Knight has written countless books about crocheting/ knitting and has given inspiration around the globe. She has a new line of fibers now available in the US through a British company called Blue Water Fibers.
Simple Crocheting is a complete guide to crocheting. Not only does it show you in great detail about each stitch but this book also has 20 projects inside for you to make.
The photography and graphics are so clear for each step. This book makes me want to learn even more about crocheting.
Here are some projects that I will be making soon….
Slipper Boots
Contemporary Clutch
Fingerless Mittens
Now for the best part, St. Martin's Press is giving away one copy of Simple Crocheting to one of our Sew Spoiled readers!

Now tatting is something I'm intrigued by. I learned a couple years ago that my great grandmother, who was the jack of all crafts, could do it. My aunt told me she tried to learn, but my great grandmother went to fast. Is that a challenge I hear? Oh yeah, bring it on!
