Recently someone asked, "How do you install your magnet clasps?" I hadn't really thought about it, I just do it. It is one of those skills in bag making that you need all of the time. Some patterns don't even tell you how to install a magnet clasp just, "follow manufacture's directions". So here is the Sew Spoiled way. I am not sure if this is the best way, but it has worked for me (and I have made well over 100 bags.) I like to fold the 2"X1" piece of fleece in half to make a 1"X1" square. This is to make sure that the metal plate doesn't go through your beautiful fabric.
