Broken zipper!
One of my friends at work asked if I could repair a zipper. Honestly, I had no clue what to do??
This zipper was not going to work and after staring at this bag for what seemed hours, I had an idea.
First, I ripped out the old zipper! No turning back now!
I bought a new 22” zipper and attached the lining to either side of the zipper.
Then I placed the outer shell back on top of the new zipper, pin and topstitch.
Finally, I cut the excess zipper and tucked the top and side outer shell panels inside the binding.
Topstitch the binding and the surgery is complete!
Now this bag has a new breathe of life! A second chance!
I apologize for the pictures. This was a late night project.
Happy Sewing!
