This was my weekend project. It almost didn't happen. First, I found this cute pattern by iThinkSew.com, it is called the Emily Bag. It is large and spacious!! Since the bag is so large, it takes up a yard of fabric for the exterior and another yard for the interior. Finding a full yard of anything in my stash is hard to find, so I cut the exterior out of tan leather, Amy Butler's Angelica in Zinc and cork fabric for the handles.
The interior is off white fabric. The pattern is great but I really had trouble working with the leather this time. It was thicker and it took the entire project to find the correct tension of the thread, needle, etc..
I love how it finally turned out. The bag is perfect for a day trip. I used it today for school but I think the beach is calling my name!
Best Wishes and Tons of Stitches!
