I have read the Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins and I enjoyed reading them so much. My husband read them too and we took a date night to see the new movie. I did find it hard to read because of what happens to the children in the book.
As in all good stories it is about good verses evil and the symbol of hope is the Mockingjay. In the first book the main character, Katniss Everdeen wears the mockingjay as a pin for good luck.
Materials:
Vinyl Cutter, Silhouette
Cutter software, Silhouette Studio
Image
Iron
T-shirt (Wash the T-shirt before starting your project.)
Step 1: Here is a tutorial on how to trace an image with the Silhouette software.
Once you have traced the image, flip it horizontally.
Send it to your Silhouette, make sure the speed is slow (2) and the thickness is low (2).
Step 2: Weed the excess vinyl away from the desired design.
(second attempt)
Step 3:Iron the t-shirt first to get the fibers hot, then place your design on the T-shirt and iron the design for approximately 10-15 seconds!
At least you know that I really did make these. I do silly stuff like this all the time. :)
Have fun making your very own Hunger Games T-shirt!
May the odds be ever in your favor.
