I'm making an embroidery "kit" for my 7 year old who has taken an interest in it. It will have a thread roll, needles, her own hoop, precut in multi-color squares of fabric and her own fabric marker.

We are also likely making some new ornaments to retire several from our tree.

Thanks for the giveaway. The fabrics look awesome!

I have to make stocking for the whole family, including the dogs and the cat!
I also have to make a matching pair of egg cups and plates, on the potters wheel, as one attached piece, slipped in white, with a design of my choice on for my mum and her partner!

Last year I did a throw quilt for MIL, purses for the SILs, and throw pillows for my mom. This year we told them that everyone is getting gift cards. My main reason is so I can focus on making Christmas decor for my home. I have quilt squares ready for a Christmas throw. Appliqued squares for pillows. I need to pick out my fabric for the cute stocking pattern I found. My biggest debate is which print/pattern I could use while still adding more matching stockings later if I have more kids. I'm wanting to make fall and Christmas/winter seat cushions for two small chairs we keep in our kitchen; yes, they are just for looks, but we would like them to change with the holidays.

One non-holiday item, no two, I want to make are a quilt for my three year olds new full size bed and a fabric vine with big leaves to wrap around her plan headboard.

I've made headbands for girls, wristlets for the ladies, and handmade notebooks for the guys.

I have no idea what to do for boys.

For Christmas gifts I have sewn (early start this year)/will be sewing aprons for the little girls, drawstring backpacks for the little boys, a purse & accessories for my sister and some slippers for some of the adults. I'm trying to stick with small projects this year so I don't make myself crazy trying to finish everything.

With bub number 2 less than 3 weeks old, I'm not committing to a lot of holiday sewing. I'll make a Santa sack for the new bub and maybe some pyjamas for both kids, If bub is kind to me, maybe a dress or two for my niece, but no guarantees!
I am making some pillow covers for X-Mas... With Kate Spains Fabric! Lovely!

Sweet Coin Purse Tutorial for Teacher Gifts

This time of year is so special to me because I get to show my gratitude for all of the hard work that goes into teaching my daughters. I love to make handmade gifts and this year is no exception. Since money does not grow on trees around here, I looked at my stash (I keep my scraps in hat boxes ) and tried to see what I had a lot of; small zippers, trims, Peltex strips ( from making iPad cases ), fabric scraps and some hardware for key fobs. So I set to work.  Materials: Plastic multipurpose 5" Zipper  Fabric Scraps Lightweight interfacing 808 Pellon Trims (We clipped  key fobs  with 1.5" swivel hooks onto our coin purses . There are tons of tutorials on making key fobs .) Step 1: Print out the Coin Purse Template  PDF.  Cut 2 main fabric, cut 2 lining and 2 interfacing using the template.  Optional: Cut a 2"X2" square of your choice main fabric or lining. This strip of fabric is used to clip a key fob to your coin purse later. We used a 1.5
