This happened after I dropped it. I was carrying to much into the house and I did not realize I grab my phone too. It slipped and fell on the cement. I felt terrible about it. :(
But this story has a happy ending!
I love Apple! I went to the Apple store and showed them the iPhone. I was expecting to pay for a new one or pay for the glass replacement $199 or more! They gave me a new one free of charge. They said it was part of their accident forgiveness program. It is only good once, it is like a Monopoly "get out of jail free card". If you are not an Mac user, you really should be! I will be for life.
As you can see in the picture my old case was not very reliable. I am planning on making a new case but until then, if you have an iPhone case suggestion I would love to read about it. Please post a comment!

Also, good to know, I too try to get into the house in one trip holding a gazillion things.

we had ours repaired and it wasnt expensive? doing go withe the first quote!! it was £150 the first one but think we paid about £40 ish..

Check out ifrogz.com They have lots of different cases for apple products. I've heard good things about it saving the iPhone/iPod Touch when accidentally dropped.

Nice service! I suggest the Otterbox cases. They are virtually indestructible and I was able to find ours much cheaper on Amazon.

Whew! Glad they replaced it for you; that's awesome! I dropped my iPod Touch and the screen shattered; I had no idea that there might even be a free option. I ended up ordering a new screen of of eBay (it still worked, there was no damage to the touch-sensing mechanism) and replaced it myself. It was hard work, and very terrifying, as I didn't want to cause any internal damage. It worked, though, and looked great. Until a couple of weeks later, when my husband dropped it. The screen damage wasn't as bad and I was too scared to replace it again, so it's still cracked... :(

Sweet Coin Purse Tutorial for Teacher Gifts

This time of year is so special to me because I get to show my gratitude for all of the hard work that goes into teaching my daughters. I love to make handmade gifts and this year is no exception. Since money does not grow on trees around here, I looked at my stash (I keep my scraps in hat boxes ) and tried to see what I had a lot of; small zippers, trims, Peltex strips ( from making iPad cases ), fabric scraps and some hardware for key fobs. So I set to work.  Materials: Plastic multipurpose 5" Zipper  Fabric Scraps Lightweight interfacing 808 Pellon Trims (We clipped  key fobs  with 1.5" swivel hooks onto our coin purses . There are tons of tutorials on making key fobs .) Step 1: Print out the Coin Purse Template  PDF.  Cut 2 main fabric, cut 2 lining and 2 interfacing using the template.  Optional: Cut a 2"X2" square of your choice main fabric or lining. This strip of fabric is used to clip a key fob to your coin purse later....
